Student Council (School Voice)

Meadowside School Council (known as Meadowside School Voice) is run by TA Bianca Martin.  The School Voice consists of two pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 who were democratically elected by the children to represent their class.  Meetings are held monthly.  At each meeting all members are given the opportunity to voice opinions and to offer any suggestions for future projects.

Recently members have successfully set up links with a school in Gambia.  The School Council organised fundraising in order to purchase a toilet block and running water for the school.  £262 was raised which was enough money to complete the project and the school was extremely grateful.

In December the Student Council organised a Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Save the Children and £ 210  was raised.

We have also raised funds  for the Guide Dogs. We sponsored two guide dog puppies.
